Jason T. Bundy, MD
Dr. Jason Bundy is board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management with more than 15 years of experience managing and treating chronic pain. Dr. Bundy earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his general surgery internship, anesthesiology residency, and chronic pain management fellowship at Penn State University/Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.
Dr. Bundy received several honors while at Penn State University/Hershey Medical Center, including: Scientific Writing/Research Awards from the Department of Anesthesiology, the Pennsylvania Anesthesiology Resident Research Conference, and the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research. As a medical student at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine, Dr. Bundy was awarded the Scott Neil Schwerk Fellowship, and Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Traineeship and Holderness Medical Fellowship. Additionally, he was inducted into the John B. Graham Research Society.
Dr. Bundy has presented much of his research in the field of anesthesiology and pain management, now published in several peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Bundy is a diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and a member of the International Spine Intervention Society, American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, American Academy of Pain Medicine, American Society of Anesthesiologists, and the Pennsylvania Medical Society.
Tony Vanetesse, DO
Tony Vanetesse, DO is a double-board certified anesthesiologist and interventional pain medicine physician. After graduating summa cum laude from University of the Sciences (now St. Joseph’s University) in Philadelphia, he went on to earn his medical degree at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Vanetesse then completed his Anesthesia residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, followed by Interventional Pain Medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA.
Dr. Vanetesse has a special interest in the diagnosis and multi-modal treatment of painful conditions including back pain, neck pain, neuropathic pain, CRPS, and musculoskeletal pain. These treatments range from conservative measures, such as medications and physical therapy, to interventional procedures, including facet injections/ablations, epidural steroid injections, joint injections/ablations as well as various methods of neuromodulation and minimally invasive spinal surgery including spinal cord stimulation, peripheral nerve stimulation, and the MILD procedure.
Dr. Vanetesse is trained in cutting edge, minimally-invasive spinal surgical procedures and finds joy in improving the lives and functional abilities of his patients. Dr. Vanetesse was named an Accelerate Emerging Leader by Medtronic Pain Therapies and as a Rising Leader in Pain and Neuroscience by the American Society of Pain and Neuroscience (ASPN). He is an active member of ASPN, the Pennsylvania Pain Society, and the Lancaster County Medical Society.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Vanetesse lives in Lititz, PA with his wife, Jessica, their sons, Luke and Cole, and their Goldendoodle, Brady. He is an avid golfer and also enjoys traveling, fitness, wakeboarding, and watching/playing sports.
April E. Palmer, NP-C
April E. Palmer, NP-C is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. April earned her Diploma in Nursing from the Reading Hospital School of Nursing. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alvernia University. April then went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner degree from Chamberlain College of Nursing. April received her nurse practitioner certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board.
She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, as well as the International Nurses Association.
Karen A. Kerns, PA-C
Karen A. Kerns MPAS, PA-C relocated from the Philadelphia area and has been working in Berks county for over 23 years as a Physician Assistant at Center for Pain Control in Wyomissing. She earned her Masters of Physician Assistant Studies through the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. She received her Bachelor of Science degree and successfully completed the Physician Assistant program from Drexel University, formerly Hahnemann University. She completed the Janet G. Travell, MD Seminar Series for Myofascial Pain and Trigger Point Identification.
She is certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.
Karen enjoys spending her free time with her husband and three children attending sporting events, biking, hiking and visiting the Jersey Shore.
Thea James, MS, RD, LDN
Thea James, MS, RD, LDN, is a Registered Dietitian and Nutritionist with a passion for working with patients to achieve their health and wellness goals. Most of her career has been spent working as a clinical nutrition manager for long-term care facilities where she developed personalized meal plans in alignment with her patients’ nutritional goals. She completed her dietetic internship and received her Master’s in Science at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She received her Bachelor of Science in Dietetics from Cedar Crest College. She is owner of Raisin’ the Bar Nutrition, LLC.
